Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in an accredited sleep technology program.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in a polysomnographic technician role.
• Licensure or certification requirements listed (AASM BRPT RPSGT or ABMS RST).

Responsibilities

• Selects and applies monitoring electrodes and prepares PAP fittings; guides patients through tests.
• Scores sleep/wake stages and reports data accurately.
• Implements CPAP/BIPAP and oxygen therapies as prescribed.
• Performs MSLT, MWT, SV titrations, AVAPS, and other sleep studies.
• Sets up home sleep tests and ensures high-quality data collection.
• Acts as a resource and preceptor for students and staff.
