Job summary

Mercyhealth in Illinois is seeking a Sleep Technician to join the Sleep Disorders Center. You will prepare patients and equipment for sleep studies, monitor testing, and score data for reporting.

Night shifts are three 12-hour blocks. You will work with patients of all ages, follow AASM/Center protocols, and maintain accurate records. CPR is required; CPSGT/BRPT or equivalent certification is preferred. Mercyhealth offers competitive pay and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Completion of polysomnography program (1 year) or equivalent experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• CPSGT/BRPT/RPSGT/RST or NBRC RRT-SDS certification or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare and calibrate equipment for testing and ensure proper functioning.
• Apply electrodes and sensors according to 10/20 system.
• Perform polysomnographic testing and scoring according to AASM/Center protocols.
• Generate accurate reports and manage data entry.
• Perform clerical duties including telephone scheduling and coordination.
• Maintain and sterilize equipment and supplies as required.
• Provide age-appropriate care for pediatric to geriatric patients.
