Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Sleep Technologist for night shifts at our Chicago area Sleep Centers. The role involves preparing PAP masks, scheduling and guiding patients through sleep studies, and educating physicians and patients on sleep medicine.

The position requires BLS, RPSGT/RST or RRT-SDS certification, and typically 2 years of polysomnography experience; it offers full-time hours and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or RRT-SDS certification required.
• Typically requires 2 years of polysomnographic technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Selects and applies monitors and PAP/oxygen equipment; explains test process to patients.
• Scores sleep/wake stages and documents baseline values and events.
• Operates and calibrates polysomnography equipment; maintains data quality.
