Job summary

Nordson PPS is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support for our polymer processing systems across customer locations. You will install, startup, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on extrusion dies, tooling and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year technical degree preferred; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in field service for plastics extrusion, polymer processing or related equipment preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in industrial environments.
• Experience with extrusion tooling, die maintenance, screen changers, pumps, valves, and related equipment preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM/service management systems experience (Salesforce, C4C) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site installation support, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance for Nordson PPS equipment.
• Travel domestically and internationally to customer sites as the primary technical representative.
• Train customer personnel on safe operation, maintenance, startup, shutdown, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare service reports documenting work, equipment condition and recommendations.
• Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, Teams or other approved methods.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing and Aftermarket to resolve field issues and opportunities.
