Job summary

Nordson PPS, a global leader in polymer processing systems, seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support across customer locations. You will install, startup, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and train customers on Nordson PPS equipment.

This role requires domestic and international travel, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to document service activities in our CRM.

Qualifications

• Associate or two-year technical degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
• Five or more years of field service experience in plastics extrusion, polymer processing, or related equipment is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in industrial environments.
• Experience with extrusion tooling, dies, screen changers, melt pumps, valves, pelletizers, cleaning systems, or related Nordson PPS equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel domestically and internationally to serve as Nordson’s primary technical representative at customer sites.
• Provide installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance for Nordson PPS equipment.
• Train customers on safe operation, startup, shutdown, maintenance, and best practices.
• Prepare field service reports documenting work performed and follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Aftermarket teams to resolve issues and identify opportunities.
