Job summary

Nordson PPS is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support for extrusion dies, tooling, screen changers, melt pumps, and related equipment across customer locations in the United States and internationally. You will install, start up, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain Nordson PPS systems, train customers, and document service actions.

Collaboration with multiple internal teams is essential for delivering high-quality service and identifying upgrade

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year technical degree preferred; hands-on experience may be considered.
• Five+ years in plastics extrusion, polymer processing, or related field service preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for Nordson PPS equipment.
• Train customer personnel on safe operation, maintenance, and startup procedures.
• Prepare service reports documenting work performed, equipment condition, and follow-up items.
• Travel domestically and internationally to serve as the primary technical representative at customer sites.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Aftermarket teams to resolve issues and identify improvement opportunities.
