Job summary

Nordson PPS is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support for polymer processing systems across customer locations. Responsibilities include installation, startup, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of extrusion dies, tooling, screen changers, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year technical degree preferred; related hands-on experience may be considered.
• Five or more years in plastics extrusion or related field service preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in industrial environments.
• Experience with extrusion tooling and related equipment preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM/service management systems experience (C4C or Salesforce) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel domestically and internationally to serve as Nordson’s primary technical representative at customer sites.
• Provide installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance for Nordson PPS equipment.
• Train customer personnel on safe operation, maintenance, and best practices.
• Complete service reports documenting work performed, equipment condition, failures identified, corrective actions, and follow-up items.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Aftermarket Services, Spare Parts, and Product Development to resolve customer issues.
