Job summary

Nordson PPS is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support for polymer processing systems across customer locations. You will work with installation, startup, commissioning, preventive maintenance, repair, and training of Nordson PPS equipment, including extrusion dies and tooling.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, the ability to read and interpret drawings, and collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Spare Parts

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
• Five or more years of experience in field service for plastics extrusion, polymer processing, or related equipment preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in industrial settings.
• Experience with extrusion tooling, dies, screen changers, and related equipment preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM experience (C4C or Salesforce) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel domestically and internationally to serve as Nordson’s primary technical representative at customer sites.
• Review project drawings and requirements prior to travel.
• Provide installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance for Nordson PPS equipment.
• Train customers on safe operation and best practices for equipment.
• Prepare service reports documenting work performed and follow-up items.
• Collect and document installed base data and customer feedback in CRM.
