Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Polymer Center Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of mechanical and electrical technicians responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of fixed and mobile equipment, as well as building and facility upkeep. You will schedule repair work, coach staff, and ensure safety and timely execution of tasks.

You will oversee diagnostics, manage inventories, and collaborate with external providers while aligning with company maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in the recycling, manufacturing or related industry.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role, supervisor or other management role requiring knowledge of safe working practices, OSHA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs mechanical and electrical technicians in maintenance shop; conducts daily debrief meetings; coaches/counsels all technician levels on performance; makes hiring/termination decisions with HR and management; conducts training and evaluations.
• Conducts Quality Control inspections; tracks issues and resolution to ensure work complies with safety and compliance procedures and regulations.
• Oversees maintenance shop inventory control to ensure equipment/parts levels and budget compliance.
• Reviews and approves expenses within scope; refers larger expenses to manager.
• Oversees complex diagnostics and provides coaching.
• Maintains knowledge of all Polymer Center equipment and systems to manage preventive and corrective maintenance functions.
• Manages external service providers and contracts for equipment and facility services.
• Partners with Operations Support to implement maintenance systems such as CMMS.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
