Job summary

Republic Services' Polymer Center Technician B role focuses on keeping sorting, grinding, and washing equipment running safely and efficiently. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and complete field service reports to support maintenance and asset management.

The job requires welding/fabrication skills, PLC programming knowledge, and a valid driver's license, with opportunities to work with a broad range of polymers processing equipment in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience on equipment in manufacturing or distribution.
• Welding and/or fabrication skills are preferred.
• PLC programming experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Mechanical, electrical, or trade school certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on sorting, grinding, and washing equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Diagnoses mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and uses diagnostic software and manuals.
• Completes field service reports and works with work orders to replace worn parts.
• Installs and sets up new equipment; communicates maintenance schedules with vendors and supervisors.
• Maintains safety procedures and supports maintenance related to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems as needed.
