Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Polymer Center Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled mechanical and electrical technician team responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of fixed and mobile equipment, as well as building systems. You will plan and schedule repair work to maintain safety and productivity.

The role requires 3+ years industrial maintenance and 1+ year supervisory experience, familiarity with OSHA and safety regulations, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in the recycling, manufacturing or related industry.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role, supervisor or other management role requiring a thorough knowledge of safe working practices, OSHA and other federal and state regulations.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of fixed and mobile equipment.
• Experience working with CMMS and inventory control.
• Strong problem-solving and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises mechanical and electrical technicians in the maintenance shop; conducts daily debrief meetings.
• Coaches/counsels all technician levels on performance and corrective action; participates in hiring/termination decisions with HR.
• Monitors quality control inspections and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory procedures.
• Oversees maintenance shop inventory and budget adherence; approves expenses within approved levels.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of Polymer Center equipment and systems to lead preventive and corrective maintenance.
