Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Policy Strategist to help translate Medicaid policy into actionable platform decisions and compliant systems.

You will work across product, design, and engineering to ensure our integrated eligibility platform reflects current policy and program operations. The role requires researching federal and state requirements, communicating complex policy findings clearly, and guiding prioritization with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing Medicaid policy and translating analysis into recommendations.
• Experience researching federal and state requirements and advising next steps.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams on policy-driven decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in policy and technical contexts.
• Strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Policy Translation & Implementation: translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences.
• Identify regulatory constraints, risks, and ambiguities and propose compliant solutions.
• Create artifacts (policy briefs, decision frameworks) to support decisions.
• Support testing and validation of policy implementation (scenarios, edge cases).
• Research, Strategy & Advocacy: monitor evolving policies and translate into implementation implications.
• Synthesize research for diverse audiences and build external partnerships.
