Nava Public Benefit Corp seeks a Policy Strategist to translate policy into decisions and actionable guidance for an integrated eligibility platform. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure compliant, user-centered solutions across intake, notices, eligibility decisions, and case management.

The role requires strong Medicaid policy experience, ability to research federal/state requirements, and the talent to convert analyses into practical recommendations that

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of policy analysis experience.
• Experience researching and interpreting policy using statutes or guidance.
• Ability to build and nurture relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in policy contexts.
• Understanding of public programs at multiple levels of government.
• Document research processes, findings, and recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences.
• Identify regulatory constraints and propose compliant solutions.
• Create artifacts to support decision-making and prioritization.
• Support testing and validation of policy implementation.
• Conduct landscape and cross-jurisdictional policy research.
• Synthesize research into clear written and verbal communications.
• Engage external partners to share Nava’s policy expertise.
• Contribute to advocacy strategy development and execution.
