Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Policy Strategist to turn policy into actionable direction within an integrated eligibility platform. You will support Medicaid policy analysis, translate findings into system behavior, and work with cross-functional teams across product, design, and engineering.

You will develop research plans, synthesize analyses into concrete recommendations, and stay current on evolving policies to improve government program operations and service experiences.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of policy analysis experience.
• Experience researching and interpreting policy using statutes, regulations, or agency guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with Medicaid eligibility and enrollment policy.
• Experience working within agile delivery and human-centered design processes.
• Graduate degree in public policy, public administration, or related field.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Work authorization that doesn’t require visa sponsorship.
• May be subject to a government background check or security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences.
• Identify regulatory constraints, risks, and ambiguities and propose compliant solutions.
• Support testing and validation of policy implementation.
• Conduct landscape and cross-jurisdictional research to monitor evolving policies.
• Build relationships with external partners to exchange implementation lessons and develop joint work.
• Document research processes, findings, and recommendations clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner.
