Job summary

Hood College in Frederick, MD is seeking a full-time, 12-month-tenure-track or non-tenure track Program Director for the PMHNP track within the DNP program. The role leads curriculum design, accreditation compliance, and student recruitment while teaching and developing research collaborations with a federal partner.

This grant-funded position begins Aug 1, 2027. The director collaborates with department leadership to align program goals, establish externships, secure funding, and support

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing education.
• PMHNP certification by AANP or ANCC and an unencumbered Maryland RN license.
• Terminal degree (PhD or DNP); if PhD, master’s in nursing.
• Demonstrated leadership in academic or clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead PMHNP curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Oversee program development, accreditation, and assessment.
• Support recruitment efforts and external funding opportunities.
• Teach in area of expertise and contribute to research with a federal partner.
