Job summary

Hood College invites applications for a full-time program director for the new DNP/PMHNP track in Nursing. The role combines leadership, teaching, and program development with emphasis on accreditation, curriculum design, and student recruitment.

The director will devote about 20% of time to research in collaboration with a federal partner, while also teaching and coordinating the PMHNP track within the Doctor of Nursing Practice program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing education.
• Must have a PMHNP certification (AANP/ANCC) and an unencumbered Maryland RN license.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in academic or clinical settings.
• Terminal degree required; PhD or DNP; if PhD in related field, nursing master’s is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the PMHNP program: curriculum design, recruitment, and accreditation compliance.
• Teach in area of expertise and oversee PMHNP track within the DNP program.
• Oversee program assessment, student recruitment, and externship sites.
• Engage in 20% research activities with a federal partner or related laboratory.
• Collaborate with department chair, deans, and graduate school leadership on program development.
