Job summary

Hood College seeks a full-time, tenure-track or non-tenure track (Professor of Practice) Program Director for the newly created DNP/PMHNP program in Nursing. The role leads curriculum design, student recruitment, and accreditation compliance, with 20% devoted to federally funded research in collaboration with a federal partner.

The position is grant funded to begin August 1, 2027, with responsibilities including teaching in the PMHNP track and overseeing the graduate program as part of Hood

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in nursing education.
• PMHNP certification (AANP or ANCC) and an unencumbered MD RN license (Maryland).
• Terminal degree (PhD or DNP); if PhD in a related field, Masters in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PMHNP curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Lead recruitment efforts for graduate program and ensure accreditation compliance.
• Develop and manage assessment plans aligned with college and program standards.
• Foster regional partnerships and external funding opportunities.
