Job summary

Hood College invites applications for a full-time (12-month) tenure-track assistant/associate professor or non-tenure track Professor of Practice to direct the newly created PMHNP program within Nursing. The position leads curriculum design, recruitment, and accreditation compliance, with 20% dedicated to collaborative research with a federal partner.

The role requires at least 3 years in nursing education, PMHNP certification, Maryland RN licensure, and a terminal degree (PhD or DNP).

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing education.
Must have a certification by AANP or ANCC as a PMHNP and an unencumbered RN license (Maryland).
Demonstrated leadership experience in academic or clinical settings.
Terminal degree (PhD or DNP). If Ph.D. is in a related field, the candidate must have a master’s degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

Oversee design, implementation, and evaluation of the PMHNP curriculum.
Provide strategic direction for the PMHNP program and develop preceptor sites.
Investigate and apply for external funding opportunities for the graduate program.
Teach in area of expertise and oversee PMHNP track within the DNP program.
