Job summary

Hood College seeks a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track assistant/associate professor or non-tenure track Professor of Practice to direct the new DNP/PMHNP program within the Nursing department. The Program Director will lead curriculum design, student recruitment, and accreditation compliance, in collaboration with the Department of Nursing and Graduate School leadership.

Approximately 20% of time will focus on research with a federal partner, while teaching in their area of expertise and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing education.
• PMHNP certification (AANP or ANCC) required.
• Unencumbered RN license (Maryland) required.
• Terminal degree (PhD or DNP); if PhD is in a related field, master’s in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PMHNP program design, implementation, and assessment.
• Teach within the PMHNP program and oversee the track in the DNP program.
• Develop and maintain accreditation compliance and partnerships.
• Pursue external funding and collaborate with federal partners for research.
