Job summary

Hood College in Frederick, MD seeks a full-time Director for the new PMHNP track within the DNP program. The role blends administration, curriculum development, and teaching, with 40% administrative duties and 20% research collaboration with a federal partner.

The position begins August 1, 2027 and is grant-funded. The candidate will oversee curriculum, recruitment, accreditation, and collaboration with Graduate School, while teaching in their specialty and leading the PMHNP track within the DNP

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in academic or clinical settings.
• PMHNP certification (AANP or ANCC) and Maryland RN license.
• Terminal degree required; PhD or DNP; nursing master’s if PhD in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PMHNP curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Lead recruitment and accreditation efforts for the PMHNP track.
• Develop partnerships with externals and seek external funding for the graduate program.
• Teach courses and supervise faculty within the PMHNP track.
• Coordinate with Graduate School and College leadership on program assessment.
