Job summary

Westwood Country Club in Austin, TX is seeking a Pastry Cook for the PM shift. This is a non-exempt, full-time, hourly position with compensation at $21.00 per hour. Prepare items for the workstation according to par sheets and instructions from the Pastry Chef.

Responsibilities include cooking to recipes, maintaining sanitation, and assisting in banquet prep and employee meals. Evening availability for holidays is required and opportunities include benefits such as 401k and insurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience cooking in a professional kitchen.
• Texas Food Handlers’ Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment complying with health codes.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and guidelines from the Pastry Chef.
• Enforce club policies for kitchen operations.
• Assist in employee meals and banquet prep as needed.
• Prepare for other kitchens to meet demand.
