Job summary

Westwood Country Club of Austin is seeking a Pastry Cook for the PM shift. This full-time, hourly position reports to the Pastry Chef and involves prep work, cooking to recipes, and adhering to health codes in a busy club kitchen in Austin, TX.

Compensation is $21.00 per hour. Minimum one year in a professional kitchen and a Texas Food Handlers’ Safety Certificate are required. Benefits include 401k match, medical/dental/vision/AD&D and more; employee meals and discounts are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience cooking in a professional kitchen environment.
• Texas Food Handlers’ Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items required for workstation according to par sheets or instructions from the Chef team.
• Prepare all assigned products in the workstation during your shift.
• Prep special food items as assigned by the Pastry Chef or Chef Team.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary environment to ensure compliance with health codes.
• Prepare and cook all food according to recipes and guidelines established by the Pastry Chef.
• Carry out other duties/tasks as assigned by the Pastry Chef.
