Job summary

1 Hotel Austin, L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Pastry Cook to join the pastry team at our luxury property in Austin, TX. You will prepare, bake and produce pastry items for events and outlets in line with brand recipes and standards, while maintaining food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities include setting up stations, executing daily service, adapting items for dietary preferences, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous pastry experience in a similar position.
• Excellent communication and listening skills in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the pastry team to prepare, bake and produce pastry items for events or outlets.
• Set up station and gather supplies for the shift.
• Prepare menu items according to brand standards and accommodate dietary needs.
• Follow production schedule and ensure proper weighing, mixing, proofing and baking.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
• Communicate with colleagues to ensure smooth shift transitions and guest satisfaction.
