Job summary

Promontory Club in Park City, Utah is seeking a Pastry Assistant to support the pastry department by preparing, assembling and presenting high-quality baked goods and desserts under the Pastry Chef.

This role requires 1–3 years of bakery or pastry experience, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays; compensation starts at $26–$29 per hour with employee meals, golf privileges and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a professional bakery/pastry environment preferred.
• Interest in pastry arts and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions, multitask, and stay organized in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand for long periods and lift trays/equipment.
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques and tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing breads, cookies, pastries, cakes, and plated desserts.
• Support pastry chef in assembling, garnishing, and decorating items.
• Learn and follow recipes to ensure consistency.
• Work with pastry creams, glazes, chocolate, mousses, and doughs.
• Label, store, and rotate ingredients and finished products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station.
• Collaborate with culinary team to support service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and club standards.
