Job summary

Happy Home is seeking a Plumbing Sales/Commercial Estimator to generate new business, assess on-site jobs, and provide detailed, competitive estimates. You will build lasting relationships with homeowners, property managers, and commercial accounts while guiding customers to solutions that fit budgets.

The role blends technical plumbing knowledge with consultative selling, from on-site evaluations to presenting options and closing the sale. Local travel and a customer-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in plumbing industry (field, service, or sales).
• Proven success in sales, estimating, or customer-facing roles.
• Ability to scope and price plumbing jobs and explain work clearly.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable using CRM, estimating tools, tablets, and basic office apps.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; background/drug screening pass.
• Plumbing license or journeyman card a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business via referrals, networking, and leads.
• Build relationships with homeowners, property managers, builders and GC's.
• Represent company at trade events and home shows.
• Maintain pipeline; meet monthly/quarterly sales targets.
• Follow up on proposals to maximize close rates and value.
• Perform on-site evaluations and prepare detailed estimates.
• Present options (good/better/best) and explain choices.
• Coordinate with service manager and technicians after sale.
• Track win/loss data and adjust pricing/approach.
