Job summary

Happy Home is seeking a Plumbing Sales/Commercial Estimator to represent the company in the field, generate new business, and turn opportunities into signed work through precise estimates. The role blends technical plumbing knowledge with consultative selling, evaluating jobs on-site, and presenting options to customers.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in plumbing, proven sales/estimating success, and strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

3+ years of plumbing industry experience (field, service, or sales)
Proven success in sales, estimating, or customer-facing roles — in-home or trade sales experience strongly preferred
Ability to accurately scope and price plumbing jobs, read plans when needed, and explain technical work in plain language
Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills; a natural networker who follows through
Comfortable using CRM software, estimating tools, tablets, and standard office applications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to pass background check and drug screening
Plumbing license or journeyman card a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development: Proactively generate new business; build relationships with homeowners, property managers, builders, GCs, and commercial accounts; represent the company at events; maintain a healthy sales pipeline; follow up on open proposals to maximize win rate.
Estimating & Job Scoping: Conduct on-site evaluations of residential and light commercial projects; prepare detailed estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and permits; present options (good/better/best); coordinate with service manager and field techs after sale; track win/loss results.
Customer Experience: Serve as primary contact from first visit through job completion; resolve questions promptly; document interactions and sales activity in CRM/field system.
Qualifications: 3+ years plumbing industry experience; proven sales/estimating ability; read plans; strong communication/negotiation; CRM/estimating tools proficiency; valid driver's license; plumbing license a plus
