Doswell Operating Group is seeking a skilled Plumbing Maintenance Technician for its RVA Property Managers division in Richmond, VA. This full-time role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs of plumbing systems across facilities.

Ideal candidates have a strong plumbing background, are safety-conscious, and can work from a bucket truck. Requires a high school diploma and fluent English, with driving prerequisites in Virginia.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong plumbing maintenance background required
• Ability to work safely at heights, including operating and working from a bucket truck
• General maintenance experience strongly preferred
• Basic knowledge of painting, drywall repair, plumbing, and facility upkeep
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented attitude
• Able and willing to be trained on the proper and safe operation of equipment as needed (e.g., Boom Lift).
• Fluent English-speaking and writing skills are required.

What You’ll Do:

Preventive Maintenance

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment.
• Inspect piping, fixtures, valves, drains, pumps, water heaters, and related components.
• Conduct repairs and equipment replacements as needed.
• Test systems for proper operation and identify leaks, corrosion, blockages, or worn components.

Safety and Equipment Care

• Follow company safety procedures.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned service vehicle.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.

Driving Requirements

• Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license.
• Must have positive points on state driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
• Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
• All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work at elevated heights for extended periods when necessary.
