EMC Mechanical Services is seeking a driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full-cycle recruitment for field, service, and office roles within our mechanical contracting division in the Richmond, VA area.

You will partner with hiring managers, source candidates through job boards, ATS, referrals, and social channels, and build a robust pipeline for high-volume skilled-trade positions while ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of talent acquisition experience in construction or skilled trades.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.

This role will focus on the full-cycle recruiting for EMC Mechanical Services, our mechanical contracting company, and recruit for positions including service technicians, project-based roles, and select corporate positions. In this role, you will partner closely with hiring managers to source, attract, and hire the best talent in the industry. Join us in this exciting journey where we create lasting connections, provide outstanding service, and stand by our values every step of the way.What You’ll Do:Full Cycle RecruitingManage the end-to-end recruiting process for field, service, and office roles.Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, timelines, and hiring priorities.Conduct phone screens, interviews, and coordinate hiring decisions.Sourcing & Talent Pipeline DevelopmentProactively source candidates using job boards, ATS, referrals, social media, and industry-specific channels.Build and maintain pipelines for high-volume and hard-to-fill skilled trade positions.Attend career fairs, trade school events, and community recruiting initiatives as needed.Employer Branding & Candidate ExperiencePromote the company’s culture, values, and career opportunities to prospective candidates.Ensure a positive, professional, and timely candidate experience.Data & Process ImprovementMaintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).Identify opportunities to improve recruiting workflows and hiring efficiency.Onboarding SupportAssist with offer letters, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding coordination.Partner with HR and operations teams to ensure smooth new-hire transitions.What You’ll Bring:3+ years of talent acquisition experience with a focus on construction, skilled trades, or related industries.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Psychology, or a related field is required.Deep knowledge of trade roles (HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal, etc.) and the construction hiring landscape is preferred.Prior experience working within an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), sourcing tools, and social media platforms.Ability to proactively network within the construction industry in Greater Richmond area.High technical acumen with regards to computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.), and a willingness to learn new systems as required.Comfortable working in fast paced environment where priorities can shift quickly, all while maintaining a sense of urgency.Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, organizational skills, and a desire to go above and beyond for our team.Driving RequirementsMust have a valid Virginia driver’s license.Must have positive points on state driving record.Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.What We Offer:Doswell Operating Group offers a wide range of employee benefits, including:A welcoming, family-oriented work environment that supports work/life balance.401K plan with Roth and Traditional options, including a 25% company match on up to 6% of your income.Medical insurance with three plan choices, including Health Savings Account options.Dental insurance with two plan choices.Vision insurance coverage.Flexible spending account.Tuition reimbursement.Access to apprenticeship training programs.Scholarship opportunities for you and your family.Paths for cross-training and career advancement.Paid vacation and PTO that accrues from day one.Employee Assistance Program for support when needed.Not everyone may fulfill all the requirements listed here.
