Job summary

RVA Property Managers, the maintenance services division of Doswell Operating Group, is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to service commercial refrigeration systems across our Richmond-area sites. You will diagnose, repair, and upgrade walk-in coolers and open-air cases, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with the team to ensure reliable operations.

3+ years of experience and EPA certification are required, along with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA certification required.
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills required.
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge preferred.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration.
• Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Erect, seal, and insulate walk-in coolers and freezer boxes.
• Respond to emergency situations after hours when needed.
• Document repair status and activity logs for customers and supervisors.

The Refrigeration Technician will be a knowledgeable and skilled technician capable of providing a full range of installation, repair, and upgrade services for refrigeration equipment, walk-in and upright coolers, and open-air cases in commercial settings across our organization.
