Ferguson Enterprises, Charleston, SC, is seeking a knowledgeable Counter Sales Associate to act as a trusted advisor to plumbing and HVAC contractors. You will leverage product expertise and problem-solving skills to help customers make informed purchasing decisions while supporting our sales strategy.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of experience in customer service or sales.
• Plumbing/HVAC or related industry experience preferred.
• Sales mindset with ability to meet goals and influence purchasing decisions.
• Strong communication and consultative selling skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Engage customers at the counter, on the phone, and via email to understand needs and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a product expert by applying knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and related products to guide decisions.
• Drive sales growth by upselling, cross-selling and promoting strategic products and programs.
• Utilize catalogs, computer systems and manufacturer databases to locate parts and provide information.
• Process transactions accurately while ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Associates to support account growth.
• Manage special orders and follow up on order status, back-orders and delivery timelines.
• Maintain a professional, organized counter environment and assist with inventory management.
• Adhere to safety regulations, including PPE requirements.
