Job summary

Weston & Sampson is seeking a mid-career Mechanical Engineer with 5-15 years of experience to join our Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing team across our New England offices. This is an opportunity to take on more responsibility in projects and be a significant contributor to shaping the company's future.

A thorough understanding of Massachusetts State Building Code is required, with knowledge of Drain, Waste & Vent and fire protection systems.

Qualifications

• 5–15 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of plumbing, fire protection and HVAC concepts.
• Working knowledge of Massachusetts Building Code and New England standards.
• Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering and design documentation for new and renovation projects.
• Review shop drawings, generate reports and produce contract drawings.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary personnel across offices, sub-consultants and clients.
• Lead and direct junior staff on project tasks when needed.
