Job summary

Leidos is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared Platform Services Technical Lead to guide a multidisciplinary team delivering NDOC DOMEX Platform capabilities in Bethesda, MD. The role combines technical leadership, product direction, and delivery across design, development, and operations.

The position supports ongoing modernization efforts with on-site work and occasional remote options, within an Agile SAFe framework and close collaboration with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering/CS/Systems Engineering or related field with 12+ years of experience or a Masters with 10+ years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• Hands-on Kubernetes administration in production environments.
• Experience with Elastic and Redis in production, including scaling and incident response.
• Platform security hardening, least-privilege access, encryption, and audit logging.
• Observability practices: metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and SLOs/SLIs.
• Linux-based hosting, containers, networking fundamentals, DNS, TLS, and storage.
• Infrastructure automation tools: CloudFormation, Helm, Salt, Ansible.
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholders and leadership.
• Previous DevOps/Platform lead role in an Agile SAFe environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and direction for design, deployment, and sustainment of NDOC mission apps.
• Translate mission requirements into executable development plans with stakeholders.
• Own and prioritize the team backlog and write clear user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Guide design decisions ensuring security, reliability, and alignment with architecture.
• Lead technical discussions and resolve complex engineering challenges across apps and infra.
• Balance security, defects, sustainment, and technical debt to maintain platform stability.
• Identify risks and dependencies; coordinate with leadership to resolve issues.
• Drive execution against PI objectives and sprint commitments with transparency.
• Lead or support SAFe activities: backlog refinement, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Promote best practices: automated testing, CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, and security.
