Job summary

Leidos is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared DevOps Platform Engineer/Linux Systems Administrator to secure and scale a Kubernetes-based platform for the DIA-NDOC DOMEX Technology Platform at a Bethesda, MD site. The role focuses on automation, CI/CD, and platform hardening across elastic and Redis services.

You’ll collaborate with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for occasional remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Systems Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; 2+ years with a Master’s
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
• DoD 8140.03-M IAT Level II or higher cert (e.g., CySA+, Security+CE)
• Ability to obtain Privileged User Account certification per DoD 8140 policy
• Hands-on Kubernetes administration and operations
• Experience with Linux command-line administration and troubleshooting
• Experience with Elastic/Redis or similar distributed services
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Bash, Python
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools
• Strong documentation, analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deploy, troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain the Kubernetes-based platform for production data pipelines
• Administer Linux-based apps including install, patching, configuration, performance monitoring, and hardening
• Ensure platform availability, security, and reliability across physical and virtual infra
• Design scalable, redundant app infrastructure across environments
• Contribute to engineering docs, diagrams, and models
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, and bug triage
