Job summary
Leidos is seeking a Senior DevOps Software Engineer to lead a DevOps team on the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) program, delivering a containerized microservices stack and supporting a production big data pipeline. Most work is on-site in Bethesda, MD with some remote tasks.
You will collaborate across systems engineering, development, security, and operations to design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure, leverage Kubernetes, Helm, and GitLab CI/CD, and contribute to an Agile SAFe
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph.
- 12+ years in software development or systems engineering; BS or 10+ years with Master’s.
- DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II cert or higher (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, CISSP).
- Experience with container orchestration and Kubernetes.
- GitLab CI/CD experience including code quality and coverage reports.
- Linux OS knowledge including SELinux and sysctls.
Responsibilities
- Lead DevOps team in design, deployment, and maintenance of microservices.
- Operate production big data pipeline on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Kafka.
- Improve CI/CD scripts and processes for faster deployments.
- Configure scalable, redundant infrastructure (physical/virtual).
- Use Helm to manage Kubernetes deployments.
