Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA seeks a Business Operations Manager (Customer Integrity & Threat Detection) to detect, disrupt, and investigate potential misuse of Starlink Platform. You will protect customer privacy while enforcing compliance and coordinating with stakeholders.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in investigations, and the ability to balance enforcement with privacy and fairness in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 12+ years in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations.
• 6+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), geospatial tools (e.g., ArcGIS), and/or statistical software (e.g., R).
• 6+ years investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or other illicit activities).
• 3+ years owning and driving improvements in processes, technology, or other business areas to improve customer integrity or related capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risks.
• Design and develop solutions to priority risks and own their deployment and effectiveness.
• Represent the team in cross-functional groups and in appropriate areas of expertise.
• Establish yourself as an expert in 2+ investigative techniques, technologies, or abuse prevention strategies.
• Reactively investigate potential issues such as scams, fraud, and illicit goods and activities.
• Conduct periodic reviews to support legal and compliance obligations.
• Execute with consideration for customer privacy, targeting activities of indisputable harm and avoiding overreach.
