Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Business Operations Manager (Customer Integrity & Threat Detection) to identify and mitigate platform abuse while protecting user privacy. You will lead cross-functional efforts to detect misuse, design solutions, and drive enforcement with stakeholders across the organization.

The role blends investigative rigor with strategic process improvements, requiring strong technical and communications skills and willingness to travel as needed. Based in Redmond, WA, onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of professional experience in global affairs, intelligence, or investigations; OR 12+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 6+ years of experience with SQL, Python, ArcGIS, and/or R.
• 6+ years of experience investigating, mitigating, or dealing with illicit operators (e.g., fraud, abuse, cybersecurity, or other illicit activities).
• 3+ years owning and driving improvements in processes, technology, or other business areas to improve customer integrity or related capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and assess platform integrity and abuse risks
• Design and develop solutions to priority risks. Own their deployment and effectiveness in concert with a wide range of stakeholders
• Represent the team in cross-functional groups and in appropriate areas of expertise
• Establish yourself as an expert in 2+ relevant investigative techniques, technologies or abuse prevention strategies
• Reactively investigate potential issues such as scams, fraud, and illicit goods and activities
• Conduct periodic reviews to support legal and compliance obligations
• Execute with consideration for customer privacy, targeting activities of indisputable harm and avoiding overreach
