Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a Dock Supervisor in North Bergen, NJ to lead a team of dock employees and ensure efficient, safe operations. You will set targets, coach staff, and enforce company policies and safety rules while managing KPI performance and daily processes.

The role requires prior management and dock experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work 50 hours per week including nights or weekends as needed. Knowledge of AS/400 and MS Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s preferred
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required
• Knowledge of local metropolitan area
• Strong leadership, coaching and interviewing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to work 50 hours per week; shift flexibility
• Able to read, interpret safety rules and procedures
• Capable of lifting 20 lbs. or more

Responsabilités

• Lead dock employees; set targets and monitor performance
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety rules and regulations
• Involved in hiring and termination processes
• Administer service center plans as directed by manager
• Meet and manage KPI targets
• Utilize daily company tools and processes to improve operations
• Revise schedules to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Coordinate equipment movement with supervisors
• Communicate with customers by phone, fax or email
• Oversee dock paperwork and ensure timely processing
• Maintain regular attendance
