Job summary

Speechify is a fast-growing, distributed team building scalable backend services for payments, analytics, subscriptions, and text-to-speech products. This role focuses on designing and maintaining robust APIs (public TTS, Payment, Auth and Consumption Tracking) to meet performance and scalability goals.

Ideal candidates have strong TS/Node background, hands-on experience with GCP and cloud providers, and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience using TS/Node.
• Experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS/Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
