Job summary

Speechify is seeking a backend-focused engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs powering its 100% distributed platform. You will work on public and internal APIs across Payments, Subscriptions, Auth, Analytics, and more, ensuring performance and scalability in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has strong TS/Node experience, cloud expertise across GCP and AWS/Azure, and comfort with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node.
• Direct experience with GCP and familiarity with AWS/Azure.
• Experience deploying high-availability applications.
• Strong API design and scalable backend thinking.
• Familiarity with containerized deployments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend APIs (public and internal) across Payment, Subscription, Auth, and Analytics.
• Oversee full API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on enterprise integration needs for B2B clients.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with product goals.
