Job summary

Speechify is seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS, Payment, Subscription, Auth, and Consumption Tracking. You will oversee the full API landscape, optimize performance, and collaborate on enterprise integrations to align with product strategy and user experience.

The ideal candidate has hands-on TS/Node experience, cloud proficiency (GCP/AWS/Azure), familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes, and a taste for high-velocity, asynchronous work

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience using TS/Node (required).
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS/Azure or other cloud providers.
• Ability to ideate and implement tasks based on urgency and impact.
• Preferred: Experience with containerized deployments (Docker).
• Preferred: Proficiency deploying high-availability apps on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS, Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, optimize for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on enterprise-focused B2B solutions and integrations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and UX.
