Responsibilities

• Scheduling surgeries
• Post the surgery to the physicians calendar
• Notify vendors for surgery
• Coordinate co-surgeries with other physicians offices
• Obtaining prior authorization for surgeries
• Complete forms and paperwork for surgeries
• Fax paperwork to hospital and insurer
• Manage scheduling templates in Epic
• Keep surgery calendar up to date
• Review schedule for double bookings
• Review records for new patients and schedule time frames
• Communicate scheduling issues to patient, facility, and staff
• Comply with WellStar Health System policies
