Job summary

Albany Medical Center’s Division of Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at Assistant or Associate Professor level to contribute to clinical care, education, and research. The role includes broad reconstructive interests such as microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial procedures, hand surgery, and microsurgery.

Ideal candidates will participate in teaching residents, care for trauma cases, and collaborate across Albany Medical Center and affiliated sites, including VA

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent) required.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by ABPS or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Provide breast reconstruction services at affiliate hospital.
• Expand transgender care and aesthetic practice.
• Deliver clinical care at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
