Job summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to grow clinical, educational, and research programs in the Division of Plastic Surgery.

The role emphasizes reconstructive surgery including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial, hand surgery, and general microsurgery, with opportunities across Albany Med Health System facilities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Provide breast reconstruction services at affiliate hospital.
• Expand transgender care and aesthetic practice.
• Deliver clinical care at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
