Job summary

Albany Medical Center’s Division of Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We welcome candidates eager to grow clinical, educational, and research programs.

The successful candidate will participate in microvascular, breast reconstruction, craniofacial, and hand surgeries, while contributing to teaching and scholarly activities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Provide clinical care across breast reconstruction, craniofacial, hand and microsurgical procedures.
• Contribute to education and research within the division.

Education

Board-eligible or board-certified by ABPS

New York State medical licensure

Teaching experience in clinical and didactic settings

Fellowship training in microvascular surgery (desirable)
