Job summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to expand clinical, educational, and research programs. The role includes reconstructive surgery subspecialties and opportunities to participate in breast, craniofacial, and hand reconstruction, with trauma call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in clinical and didactic teaching.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive plastic surgery care with emphasis on reconstructive procedures.
• Collaborate in a growing program across clinical, educational, and research missions.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call when needed.
• Contribute to education of residents and medical students.
