Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery seeks a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to grow clinical, educational, and research programs in reconstructive surgery, including microvascular breast, craniofacial, hand surgery, and general reconstruction.

The successful candidate will participate in our integrated residency, teach medical students, and provide care at affiliate sites such as Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and licensure eligibility in NY
• Completion of an ACGME Plastic Surgery residency
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Plastic Surgery (ABPS or foreign equivalent)
• Eligible for NY State medical licensure
• Fellowship in microvascular surgery desirable but not required
• Proven teaching ability in clinical or didactic settings

Responsibilities

• Take independent hand and face trauma call
• Provide breast reconstruction services at affiliated hospital
• Expand transgender care and aesthetic practice
• Deliver clinical care at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center
• Participate in teaching and research within the residency program
