Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to grow our clinical, educational, and research programs. The role emphasizes reconstructive work, including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, and hand surgery, with opportunities at affiliate hospitals and the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.

Candidates must complete an ACGME Plastic Surgery residency, be board-eligible or

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or equivalent.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide reconstructive surgical care including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and general reconstruction.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Collaborate with affiliated hospitals and VA Medical Center to expand clinical services.
• Participate in teaching, education, and research within the integrated residency program.
