Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We are expanding our clinical, educational, and research programs and welcome candidates who are eager to contribute to this growth.

There are opportunities to provide breast reconstruction, expand transgender care and aesthetic practice, and deliver clinical care at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical teaching competence; research experience is valued.
• Fellowship in microvascular surgery is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical plastic surgery care with emphasis on reconstructive procedures.
• Participate in resident education and research activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
