Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery seeks a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to grow our clinical, educational, and research programs.

Candidates will focus on reconstructive surgery, including microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial and hand surgery, with opportunities to expand transgender care, aesthetic practice, and care at the VA Medical Center.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by ABPS or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated teaching competence in clinical and didactic settings.
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide microvascular breast reconstruction, craniofacial, hand and general reconstruction and microsurgery.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Collaborate in teaching and research within an integrated residency program.
• Deliver clinical care at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center and affiliated sites.
