Job summary

Albany Medical Center's Division of Plastic Surgery seeks a full-time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join a growing program focused on clinical care, education and research.

The ideal candidate will pursue reconstructive interests (breast, craniofacial and hand surgery) and participate in the integrated residency, with opportunities to provide care at affiliate hospitals and the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Plastic Surgery residency.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABPS.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and skill in teaching (didactic and clinical).
• Fellowship training in microvascular surgery desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide microvascular and general plastic surgery services including reconstructive and cosmetic options.
• Take independent hand and face trauma call.
• Collaborate with affiliate hospitals for breast reconstruction and expand transgender care and aesthetic practice.
• Deliver clinical care at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
